How to Forward Calls on Your Nortel T7316e Phone

Step 1: Identify the Feature Button

First, determine if your Nortel T7316e phone has a Feature button programmed. If your keys are not labeled, you can inspect the keys by following these steps:

1. Press the Feature button.
2. Press the star button (*).
3. Press the number zero (0).
4. Press each key on your phone one by one. The phone will tell you what each key is after you depress it.

By following these steps, you’ll be able to identify which button is the Feature button if it’s not labeled.

Step 2: Forwarding Calls Using Feature Codes

To forward calls to another extension using the feature codes, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the handset is still in the cradle.
2. Press FEATURE followed by the number 4.
3. Enter the extension number to which you want your calls forwarded.
4. Once activated, your display will show “FORWARD>” followed by the extension number or the name associated with it.

Congratulations! You have successfully forwarded your calls to another extension.

Step 3: Canceling Call Forward

If you need to cancel call forwarding, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the handset is still in the cradle.
2. Press FEATURE followed by # 4.

This will cancel the call forwarding, and your phone will resume receiving calls directly.
